Back Next The Frightened Child

There's this terribly
Frightened cowardly side
Who shivers away.
He walks along the side of the road
That overlooks the void,
Which his senses see as so totally black.
A sudden miss-step
Spells absolute disappearance
Or that final agony
When mother's hand
Slips out as she herself
Slips into the void.
Oh so terribly frightened...
Something so bad can happen.

Isn't there a courageous child
Somewhere?
