Back Next To Burnie

He reads his suffering from a book
secretly he cries
The passengers must not see him cry
There are no answers says the book
Only response says the book
Compassion and empathy says the book
He puts the book away
Rings the bell
The bus stops to let him off
He is totally confused
He got onto the bus in 1986 in Jerusalem
and gets off an hour later in 1942
in Auschwitz
A black God awaits him
A Jewish band plays solemn music
Having read it
He knows the meaning of it all
Then this must be a dream he says
He tries to awaken
A Whitelight seeks to enter
Despair throws it off
fear replaces all
naked he clutches his only book
This too is torn away from him
He is pushed with the crowd into the chamber
He knows it is gas
and chokes on it.
