Back Next Mr. B

Patterned as a jeweled diamond
Whose inner perfection
Bespoke of an inner strength.

Yet such a diamond testified
To its own absurdity:
" life is meaningless"
it said, but yet,
"I demand
that all perfection
be like me."

The diamond being perfect
Could not understand
Its own contradiction.

In the name of perfection
It bullied others.
Bullied like it had been bullied
By the father.

And what would happen
If one day
The flaw in the system was admitted?
Would like the father suicide be committed?
Or would the diamond
Going into its own nature
Glisten forth?
